This Saturday's Fantasy, Folklore, & Fairytales reading clubs just had 12 spots open up! Sign up at www.readingtokids.org today or tomorrow before 3pm to bring storytelling to the kids this Saturday! We especially need experienced readers to join us at Alta Loma!

This Saturday is the perfect time for those who have volunteered with us a few times recently to step into and learn any of our important Operations roles - all training very pleasantly provided!

Please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org if you can volunteer for any of the following roles:

- GLC at Alta Loma (3rd grade), Magnolia (4th), or Tenth St. (5th)
- Returning Volunteer Training Coordinators at Gratts or Magnolia
- Site Operations Helper at any school - your Site Coordinators need your help at 8am!

If your school is full and you are an experienced volunteer with us, let us know if you can fill any of the above roles and we'll happily add in your RSVP.

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED THIS AFTERNOON
OR TOMORROW!

Today or tomorrow for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs to encourage kids to come to these May 10th reading clubs.

We are especially looking for volunteers who can pass out flyers to parents when school lets out between 1:15pm - 2:45pm tomorrow.

It's an exciting experience and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to info@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two!

3 COMPUTERS OR TABLETS
WANTED FOR JUNE

At our June reading clubs we would love to give away a computer or iPad/tablet to one lucky kid at each school, but we need three more of them to make that happen!

If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 10 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!

We especially need working computers (CPUs), whether or not they come with monitors, keyboards, etc. Please email us at info@readingtokids.org to help make a kid very happy!

Did you know Reading to Kids receives about half of our funding from corporate and foundation grants? For example, over the last five years alone seven of our volunteers helped us receive $142,000 in grants from their employers!

Please check to see if your employer offers grants that Reading to Kids can apply to and let us know at info@readingtokids.org! You may help us buy thousands of books for kids!

LEGENDARY BINGO ON MAY 21ST:
SHARE OUR FLYER
& HELP FIND PRIZES!

It's back! On Wednesday, May 21st, join Reading to Kids for Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood!

The drinks are strong, the drag queen bingo is "R" rated, and seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your seat in advance! All attendees must be 18 years old or older.

You can also print out the flyer and post it wherever many people are likely to see it, perhaps with a note that you are going and inviting others to join you.
