Great news! We were able to open up about 25 more spots for our June 14th "Friendship & Fun" reading clubs, so head over to www.readingtokids.org and sign up today!
We can especially use more experienced volunteers at MacArthur Park and Charles White elementary schools.
(If you signed up for the reading clubs but can't join us,
please
cancel your RSVP now so that another volunteer can read with us.)
These June reading clubs are smaller because the schools will be on their summer break.
Mark your calendars for July 12th and August 9th as we keep students enjoying books throughout the summer!

We also need more of our experienced volunteers to
help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, check in volunteers, or especially be a Site Operations Helper
at any of our schools.

If your school is full and you are an experienced volunteer with us, let us know if you can fill any of the above roles and we'll respond about adding in your RSVP.
SCHOOL AMBASSADORS WANTED 6/9 & 6/10,
LAST TWO DAYS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!
The school year ends on June 10th, the Tuesday before our June 14th reading clubs. Thus, Monday, June 9th & Tuesday, June 10th we need ambassadors to visit any of our schools for an hour during the school day to encourage kids to come to the June 14th reading clubs.

Looking for a new way to get involved with Reading to Kids? Want to add volunteer office help to your resume? We currently are looking for a few good
interns and volunteers to help us in the office on weekdays on a regular basis.
There are tons of things that need to be done in the office for every reading club, as well as general office work. If you or someone you trust is interested and available during weekdays, please

grants? For example, over the last five years alone
seven of our volunteers helped us receive $142,000 in
grants from their employers!

3 COMPUTERS OR TABLETS
WANTED FOR JUNE
At our June reading clubs we would love to give away a computer or iPad/tablet to one lucky kid at each school, but we need three more of them to make that happen!
If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 10 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!
We especially need working computers (CPUs), whether or not they come with monitors, keyboards, etc. Please email us at
