Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Our May 10th "Fantasy, Folklore, & Fairytales" reading clubs are in just nine days, and we still need another 27 heroes to volunteer and sign up for them!
If you know you are available that morning, please start your quest by going to our website and
signing up with us! If your regular school is full, this is a great month to sign up to explore a new school to you!
Help spread the word about reading with us by joining our
May 10th reading club event
so your friends will see that on your wall.
Please also
tweet, post to Bluesky, Facebook, and Instagram, and
message your friends that we still need more volunteers.
You can even
print out this flyer and post it at your
work, school, church, synagogue, mosque, or favorite
community bulletin board.
(If you
have signed up and can't make it after all,
please cancel your RSVP online immediately to make room for another volunteer.)
LEAD VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
We also need more of our experienced volunteers to
help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, check in volunteers, or especially be a Site Operations Helper
at any of our schools.

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED NEXT WEEK!
Next Thursday or Friday for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your
help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs and/or passing out flyers to encourage kids to come to
our March 8th reading clubs.
We are especially looking for volunteers available from about 1:15 - 2:45 next Thursday or Friday, May 8th or 9th.
It's an exciting experience and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to

(310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two next week!

3 COMPUTERS OR TABLETS
WANTED FOR MAY 10TH CLUBS
At these May reading clubs we would love to give away a computer or iPad/tablet to one lucky kid at each school, but we need three more of them to make that happen!
If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 10 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!
We especially need working computers (CPUs), whether or not they come with monitors, keyboards, etc. Please email us at
info@readingtokids.org to help make a kid very happy!

Did you know Reading to Kids receives about
half of our funding from corporate and foundation
grants? For example, over the last five years alone
seven of our volunteers helped us receive $142,000 in
grants from their employers!
Please check to see if your employer offers grants
that Reading to Kids can apply to and let us know at
info@readingtokids.org!
You may help us buy thousands of books for kids!

LEGENDARY BINGO ON MAY 21ST:

It's back! On Wednesday, May 21st, join Reading to Kids
for
Legendary Bingo at
Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood!
The drinks are strong, the drag queen bingo is "R" rated,
and seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your seat in advance! All attendees must be 18 years old or older.
