222 MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED DEC. 12TH
SIGN UP & RECRUIT!

December is one of our biggest months, and we still need 222 more volunteers for the December 12th reading clubs! Please recruit your friends, co-workers, and family members.

To get started, sign up with us today.  Then join our December 12th Facebook Event so your friends will see that you will be attending.

Tweet @readingtokids, post to Facebook, and email your friends, letting them know that we still need more volunteers.

Be sure to tell your friends and family:

1) The reading clubs are the morning of December 12th near Downtown LA
2) Volunteers must sign up online at www.readingtokids.org

3) The school at which you will be reading
4) Santa will be attending!!

You can also help us by printing out this flyer and posting it at coffee shops, the gym, your office, or favorite community bulletin board. Make it a personal and fun social event by including the school at which you'll be reading.  You can also use this easy email template to reach out to your friends and co-workers.

If you're signed up for the Dec. 12th reading clubs but can't make it after all, please cancel your RSVP as soon as you can.

BRING YOUR GROUP TO READING TO KIDS

Would your co-workers love to join you at the reading clubs? Is your campus group looking for a fun volunteer opportunity? Does your alumni organization need an event to attend together? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, it is time to sign them up for Reading to Kids!

Reading to Kids Volunteer Groups recruit volunteers for the reading clubs. In addition to a fantastic volunteer experience, groups who regularly recruit and bring volunteers are thanked on our website as "Friends & Supporters."

For example, we had 97 members of Junior League of Los Angeles (a few pictured below) join us on September 12th. 10 members of Stanford Alumni CSC and 8 members of CAA also joined us at Esperanza and Politi, respectively.

If you have a connection with a business, alumni association, campus group, or other organization whose members might enjoy volunteering with Reading to Kids, start recruiting now!

To sign up your group with Reading to Kids, e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org or call (310) 479-7455, and we'll get your group started!

ANNUAL FUND DRIVE ENTERS ITS FINAL MONTH

Reading to Kids Annual Fund Drive

Our Annual Fund Drive is in its final month, and we need your help to reach our goal of raising $45,000 this year. So far we have raised $13,715 from 236 donors! Do you wonder what the money you contribute goes toward?

•$5 purchases prize books for 4 kids!
•$18 purchases 15 take-home prize books for participating kids!
•$50 purchases 4 hardcover read aloud books that are donated to school libraries!
•$125 purchases 100 take-home prize books for participating kids!!

How Can You Help?

Make a pledge to donate by check or donate online today by visiting our 2015 Annual Fund Drive page. Contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated!

Show your support by asking friends and family to contribute! If every person who is currently signed up for the December 12th reading clubs gathered and brought donations of any size from just 1 other person, we could meet our goal!

Consider asking coworkers, family, teammates, bowling buddies... you get the picture! We've made it super simple, just print out this donor sheet and start asking, or spend just a few minutes personalizing and sending this sample email! We also have other great tips for fundraising.

Also, if your workplace matches donations to nonprofits, please share with them your donation, and ask them to consider matching it. In this way you double your donation and share with others your enthusiasm for Reading to Kids!

Once they know about Reading to Kids, many will want to donate - we just need you to ask!
