Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Thank you for making our April reading clubs so much fun! Last Saturday we had 925 kids, 406 volunteers, 82 parents, and 17 teachers & staff join us for a morning of "Amazing Animals and Interesting Environments."

The next reading clubs are on May 9th, so sign up early and ask your friends to sign up, too! Please also join our May 9th Facebook event to spread the word about the reading clubs.

The L.A. Times Festival of Books is this weekend, April 18-19, on the University of Southern California campus. Celebrate the 20th anniversary of America's largest literary event with Reading to Kids!

Our booth (#171) will be located on Trousdale, between West 34th St. and Child's Way. Click here to see who is volunteering at our booth.

Juan Reyes, the principal at Magnolia Elementary, has asked for your help this Saturday, April 18 between 8 am and 11:30 am.

He needs volunteers to help with activities for kids (reading, arts and crafts, playground games) during Magnolia's Open House. This is a wonderful way to spend even more time with these fantastic students!

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail with your availability. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Thank you for your support and commitment to the school communities we serve!

Thanks, and we hope to see you this weekend at the Festival of Books or Magnolia Elementary!
