Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

After a long weekend filled with all the most scrumdiddlyumptious food, all of us at Reading to Kids have been getting everything just right for the December 8th Reading Clubs. We still need 210 volunteers to make December's Reading Clubs a success. Please RSVP today, and encourage your friends to join us as well!

Don't forget to also join our our December 8th Facebook Event after you have signed up. This way all your friends will be able to see the fun you'll be having on the 8th!

We are still looking for experienced volunteers to help out as Santa or an elf. A huge thank you to Pasadena Jaycee's Operation Santa for once again providing the Santa suits! If you are interested in volunteering for this wonderful project, please click here to read more about it.

ANNUAL FUND DRIVE ENTERS ITS FINAL MONTH

We are currently running short of our 2012 Annual Fund Drive goals. We need your help to reach our goal of raising $45,000 this year. So far we have raised $21,817 from 275 donors! Do you wonder what the money you contribute goes toward?

•$5 can purchase prize books for 4 kids!
•$20 can purchase 15 take-home prize books for participating kids!
•$50 can purchase 4 hardcover read aloud books that are donated to school libraries!
•$600 can purchase a year's worth of prizes books for parents at one school!

To contribute even further, we also need your help to reach our other goal of 1,000 donors. If every person who is currently signed up for the December 8th Reading Clubs gathered and brought donations of any size from just 5 people, we would surpass this goal by 825 people! Consider asking coworkers, family, teammates, bowling buddies... you get the picture! We've made it super simple, just print out a donor form and start asking!

The school that had the largest percentage of their volunteers donate at the November 10th Reading Clubs was Magnolia Elementary! Charles White Elementary came in a close second place in November, and had the overall largest percentage of their volunteers donate at both the October 13th and November 10th Reading Clubs!

On December 8th, let's see which school can collect the greatest number of donations from their volunteers!
