Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Reading clubs are just two days away and we still need 65 volunteers for our
"Halloween, Mysteries, and Magic" reading clubs! If you haven't already, please sign up
here. We are especially excited for the exceptional magicians who will be performing at all of the schools!
In the spirit of Halloween, feel free to wear your (school appropriate) Halloween costumes to the reading clubs!
Please continue to post and tweet about Saturday's reading club to all your friends. Be sure to include our website,
www.readingtokids.org. Our greatest needs are at
Magnolia Elementary and Politi Elementary.
We are still looking for one more
magician to complete our lineup. Please respond to this email if you or someone you know can help out!

FOR ALTA LOMA
If you shop at Fresh & Easy please save your receipts for purchases of $20 or more. Leo Politi Elementary School will receive $1 for every $20 spent! Politi has been one of our partner schools since 2006, and we're happy to spread the word. Please bring your receipts to
the reading clubs or mail them directly to the school at 2481 W. 11th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90006.
Alta Loma needs volunteers to help them plant their new vegetable garden on Monday and Tuesday, October 15th and 16th during the school day. Respond to this email if you're interested for more details!
