Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Thanks to the 893 kids, 432 volunteers, 167 parents, and 25 teachers and administrators who made the May Reading Clubs a success!

Volunteers are needed for the "Superheroes and Super People" Reading Clubs on June 12th - and spots are filling up fast! Click here to sign up to volunteer.

READING TO KIDS IS HIRING

After two years of wonderful service to Reading to Kids, one of our current Program Coordinators, Rachel Zwass, has decided to step down from her position at the end of this month to pursue a graduate degree in Psychological Studies in Education at UCLA.  We will be planning an event later this month to thank Rachel for all she's done for the program.  

If you are interested in working at Reading to Kids, or you know someone who might be interested in applying for the open position, please click here to review our job posting.

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT: A FEW SPOTS LEFT

There are a few more spots available for this year's Reading to Kids Charity Golf Tournament! All golfers and dinner guests must register by FRIDAY, May 14th to participate in this year's amazing event. Don't miss out on a day at the beautiful Industry Hills Golf Course or this year's exciting prizes. Click here for more information and to register today!

The Reading to Kids Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 22nd, will be a fun day of golf and networking. The format is a scramble tournament, making it easy to play for any level of golfer. The tournament will include fun prizes for top foursomes, holes-in-one, a closest-to-the-pin competition, a long-drive contest, and a raffle. Not a golfer? Join us for the 19th Hole post tournament reception for dinner, raffle, and entertainment.

THE YOU CONFERENCE BOOK-SIGNING
 SATURDAY, MAY 22nd

The You Conference in partnership with Barnes and Noble will hold a special book-signing event for conference attendees on the morning of Saturday May 22nd. 100% of all proceeds generated from the speakers' book sales will be donated to Reading to Kids.

The You Conference coming to the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel on Saturday May 22nd & Sunday May 23rd was designed to educate and simplify the challenges of Social Media. Authors and Social Media icons Gary Vaynerchuk (Crush It!), Peter Shankman (Can We Do That?! Outrageous PR Stunts That Work - And Why You Company Needs Them), Dave Lakhani (How To Sell When Nobody's Buying) and educator Geri Druckman will teach entrepreneurs and companies how to create a unique brand identity and dominate their marketplace.
