Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Thank you to the 1,187 children, 546 volunteers, 162 parents, and 46 school administrators
and teachers for attending the November Reading Clubs! It was a fantastic Saturday, and we couldn't have done it without you!
Los Angeles may not get a lot of snow on the ground, but there will be plenty of it at the
December 12th "Winter Wonderlands" Reading Clubs! 3rd Graders will hear
The Story of Snow and 5th Graders will enjoy the story
of The Snow Spider. The Kindergartners will see mountains
of snow as the volunteers take them on a "picture walk" through
A Penguin Story...brr!
Don't forget to bundle up, and

COLLEGE SPIRIT DAY RESULTS
Volunteers from over 54 schools participated in November's College Spirit Day!
The numbers have been tallied and (drum roll please), here are the results:
Local: 1st place: UCLA (92 volunteers);
2nd place: Pepperdine (46 volunteers);
3rd place: USC (42 volunteers)
California (non-local): 1st place: Stanford (12 volunteers);
Out of State: 1st place: University of Michigan (3 volunteers).
Thank you all for showing your school spirit on Saturday and most importantly, for encouraging hundreds of elementary school children to go to college one day!
