Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Thanks to everyone who came out for Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary's on Wednesday night.  The event was a lot of fun and raised $2,257 for Reading to Kids!

Thanks to Legendary Bingo and Hamburger Mary's for hosting the event! Thanks also to everyone who helped put together prize packages for the event, including Special Event Committee Co-Chairs Julie Moskovitz and Christine Oppenheim and Reading to Kids Intern Steph Pickering.

Check out Reading to Kids' blog for pictures from Legendary Bingo and our Hollywood Bowl event.

SEPTEMBER 13TH READING CLUBS

Come one, come all to the September 13th Reading Clubs!  Click here to sign up.

This month's theme is "Fantasy, Folklore, and Fairy Tales," and we have some book selections you're bound to love.  Kindergarteners will explore their imaginations with Dr. Suess' "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think," second graders will follow "The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon" by Mini Grey, and fifth graders will hear the classic tale of "Mrs. Piggle Wiggle" by Betty McDonald.  Click here for synopses, discussion questions, and craft ideas for this month's books.

We hope to see you in September!
