Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Thanks to everyone who volunteered with us on Saturday! 885 kids and 235 parents attended the reading clubs, and we were joined by 412 volunteers!
A special thanks to the 101 Pepperdine Resident Advisors, Directors, and other staff for volunteering at the August reading clubs!

SITE COORDINATORS NEEDED
Are you looking to get more involved? Here's a perfect opportunity! Reading to Kids is looking for Site Coordinators for Alta Loma, Politi, and White Elementary Schools.
Each school has two to three Site Coordinators who are responsible for overseeing the operations of the reading clubs, managing everything from sign-in and breakfast setup to ensuring that the rooms, books, and volunteers are ready for the reading clubs. If you are interested in getting more involved with the operations of Reading to Kids as a Site Coordinator or a Grade Level Coordinator, please contact Sarah at (310) 479-7455 or Sarah.Kolterman@readingtokids.org. LEGENDARY BINGO AT HAMBURGER MARY'S
AUGUST 20th
Join us at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood for Legendary Bingo!
Hamburger Mary's Legendary Bingo is Los Angeles' longest running and most successful weekly charity event. Reading to Kids will be the charity beneficiary for the 7 p.m. seating (which ends at 8:30 p.m.) There is a $20 suggested donation at the door which includes 9 regular bingo games and one grand prize bingo game with fantastic prizes! The evening is hosted by Bingo-boy, sassy drag queen The Fabulous Belle Aire, and celebrity host Kim Coles. For more information, please visit www.legendarybingo.com.

VOLUNTEER FOR THE
P.S. I LOVE YOU FOUNDATION'S "DAY AT THE BEACH"
The P.S. I Love You Foundation (www.psiloveyoufoundation.org) is coordinating their 8th Annual "Day at the Beach" on Saturday, August 23rd for over 200 at-risk children. Volunteers will adopt a child in need for one day and share their love, time, and energy. Each volunteer will be assigned and responsible for one child for the day. Food and beverages will be provided; volunteers need to bring a beach towel as a gift for a child and a large blanket to use on the beach.
