Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Thanks to everyone who came out to volunteer at our College Spirit Day reading clubs on Saturday! 1,091 kids, 181 parents, and 474 volunteers joined us for a morning of reading fun.
UCLA WINS WITH THE MOST COLLEGE SPIRIT
With more than 65 colleges represented on Saturday, the College Spirit Day Competition was intense! The Bruins took the title back from USC with 69 volunteers attending! Stanford had the most statewide representation with 21 volunteers, while Vanderbilt University pulled together the most out-of-state support with 10 volunteers!
Thank you to all the volunteers who showed up in their college attire to help get our kids excited about going to college!
DECEMBER READING CLUBS
Readers and Computers Wanted!

Our December Clubs will be a lot of fun! We are planning visits by Santa, a raffle, and lots of great holiday crafts!
In addition to other items, we will raffle off one refurbished computer at each school. If you have a used computer that you are interested in donating, please e-mail Sarah at Sarah.Kolterman@readingtokids.org.
GREAT URBAN RACE
Reading to Kids is teaming up with Great Urban Race Los Angeles for a day of fun!
Great Urban Race is a scavenger hunt, road race, and wandering party. Teams of two run, walk, and use public transportation while navigating city streets and completing fun clues and challenges. And this year, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Reading to Kids.
