2005 Fundraising Recap

Great job, everyone! We had a tremendous response to our end of the year plea for donations. We received donations from over 100 new donors in the last three days of the year. Incredible!

We would like to thank all 385 (at last count) of our generous 2005 donors, for helping us to raise almost $108,000 to support us as we continue to bring our reading clubs to Gratts, Esperanza, Magnolia, and Noble Elementary Schools. Many, many thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this past year a success. We look forward to working with you in 2006 to continue inspiring children with a love of reading!

Winter Wonderland on Sunday, January 15th

Come join Reading to Kids as we carve up the Pershing Square Ice Rink downtown!

Location: 5th, 6th, Hill, and Olive Streets, Los Angeles, CA 90013
Neighborhood: Downtown L.A.
When: Sunday 1/15, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cost: Skating $6/hour per person; Skate rental $2

Getting there: From the 110 South, exit at 6th Street/4th Street. Make a slight left onto West 4th Street, then right onto Olive Street. Accessible from the Red Line, Pershing Square is also a short walk from the Central Library.
Parking Garage:
Entrances are located on 5th, 6th, and Olive Streets.
$6 daily flat rate for weekends
Good things to bring: Warm/layered clothing, well padded pants, cameras, snacks, and water. Friends and family are always welcome.
