Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Did you know that one of our volunteers recently won $100,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Actress and Alta Loma volunteer Harriet Weaver wasn't allowed to mention her favorite charity by name, but click the image below to watch her describe supporting us, which she did by donating to our Annual Fund Drive!

Reading to Kids volunteer Harriet Weaver on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

It's the final five days of the year and our Annual Fund Drive, and we are only 68 donors away from meeting our goal of 550 donors!

Please help us by making your donation today at our Annual Fund Drive page.

Here's how you can help before our fund drive ends this Sunday:

1) Donate by check or online today. Contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated!

2) Ask friends and family to contribute! We've made it super simple - just print out our donor sheet and start asking, or spend a few minutes personalizing and sending our sample email.

3) Ask your employer if they make matching donations or want to donate to a great cause! We have so far received (or are expecting) matching donations from The Capital Group Companies Charitable Foundation, Disney, Oaktree Capital Management, Chevron, Wonderful Giving, Microsoft, Automatic Data Processing, Inc., Warner Brothers Entertainment, Inc., and SAP Software Solutions, all through the efforts and requests of our volunteers who work for those companies.

Once your employer, friends, and family know about Reading to Kids, many will want to donate to us and are looking for a great cause to support before the end of the year - we just need you to ask!

Note: If donating by check, please make sure the check is dated on or before December 31, 2017. If donating by credit card, the donation must be made on or before December 31, 2017.

GET A NEW COMPUTER OR TABLET?
DONATE YOUR OLD ONE TO A KID!

At the January 13th reading clubs we are eager to give away a computer or iPad to one lucky kid at each school.

If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 7 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!

We especially need working computers (CPUs), whether or not they come with monitors, keyboards, etc. Please email us at info@readingtokids.org for details.
