MAY CRAFTS & CURRICULUM MEETING
SUNDAY, APRIL 30TH
Help us create the activity and craft guides for the May
books by joining us on Sunday, April 30
for our next
Curriculum Committee Meeting at noon at the Reading
to Kids office.
Click here for our Facebook event or
For details on any of our
events, check out our handy
calendar on our website.
Each month our reading clubs have a theme, such as
Fantasy, Folklore, & Fairytales for our May 13th
reading clubs and People & Places Around the World
for our June 10th reading clubs.
The
Curriculum Committee is starting to consider themes for
the 2017-18 school year and they can use your ideas!
To see our current themes, please see our
Teacher-Selected Books by Month
page. On that page you can also click on the year links at the
top to see the themes we used last year and in previous years.
Your new theme ideas should be broad enough for teachers to
find many children's books that will fit in that theme, but
also narrow enough to sound engaging.
Please email your new
theme ideas to
info@readingtokids.org, or bring them to
our next Curriculum Committee meeting!
