Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

With one week to go, we still need 275 more volunteers for our October 11th "Halloween, Magic, and Mysteries" Reading Clubs!  Click here to sign up.

To help bring our theme to life, we will be featuring a live magic show during the close of the reading clubs!  Click here to see who will be performing.

PROMOTE READING TO KIDS TO YOUR GROUP

Would your co-workers love to join you at the reading clubs? Is your campus group looking for a fun volunteer opportunity? Does your alumni organization need an event to attend together? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, it is time to sign them up for Reading to Kids!

Reading to Kids Volunteer Groups recruit volunteers for the reading clubs. In addition to a fantastic volunteer experience, groups who regularly recruit and bring volunteers are thanked on our website as "Friends & Supporters." For examples, check out Accenture (3 volunteers signed up for October), Stanford Alumni CSC (7 volunteers signed up for October), and Claremont Colleges Circle K (5 volunteers signed up for October).

If you have a connection with a business, alumni association, campus group, or other organization whose members might enjoy volunteering with Reading to Kids, start recruiting now!

To sign your group up with Reading to Kids, e-mail Rachel.Zwass@readingtokids.org or call (310) 479-7455.

2008 ANNUAL FUND DRIVE
"BE PART OF OUR STORY"

THANK YOU to those who have already contributed to Reading to Kids 2008 Annual Fund Drive.  Donations are arriving every day, and whether they are for $10 or $1,000, these donations play a crucial role in helping us work toward inspiring underserved children with a love of reading.

In 2008, we have received over $17,000 in donations from individuals and have a total of 179 donors.  However, we are still a long way from our goal of $40,000 and 600 donors.

Your donation, whatever the size, MATTERS! A gift of just $10 can provide eight children with their own book to add to their home libraries.

Please consider participating in our Annual Fund Drive and helping this organization grow.
