Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Thanks to everyone who has signed up for our March 8th "Music" Reading Clubs!
Our volunteer spots are almost full, but a couple spots have opened up at Gratts and Hoover. We do anticipate more cancellations this week, so click here to check back for openings before our 3:00 p.m. deadline Friday!
We are excited to feature musical performances during the last 10 minutes of all of the reading clubs to help bring our "Music" theme to life. Click here for a list of performers.
VOLUNTEER FOR READ ACROSS AMERICA
It's not too late to volunteer for Read Across America! The National Education Association's Read Across America is an annual celebration of literacy that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday.
Los Angeles Elementary, White Elementary, and Humphreys Elementary will be celebrating Read Across America and they need your help! They are looking for volunteers to spend a couple of hours reading aloud to students.
LOS ANGELES

JOIN US FOR A NIGHT OF BOWLING
Come out to beautiful Santa Monica on the evening of Sunday, March 16th and join your fellow volunteers for a FUNtastic evening of bowling.
It's Dollarmania! from 8:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. at the Bay Shore Lanes in Santa Monica. After a $10 admission/cover charge, it's just $1 for shoe rentals and $1 per person per game! So join us for some ear-shattering strikes, eye-popping spares, and yes, even some excruciating gutter balls!
We'll reserve a few lanes in advance, so please RSVP if you plan to attend!
