Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Thanks to everyone who volunteered with us on Saturday. The August 11th Reading Clubs were the 100th reading clubs held since the program began!
797 kids and 198 parents attended the reading clubs, and we were joined by 358 volunteers, a record high for our program!

READING TO KIDS EXPANDS TO LOS ANGELES ELEMENTARY
Reading to Kids is excited to announce that Los Angeles Elementary will be hosting its first reading clubs on September 8th! Help inspire students at Los Angeles with a love of reading by signing up to volunteer for this momentous occasion! Click here to sign up!
Additionally, we are looking for Site Coordinators, a Training Coordinator, Grade Level Coordinators (GLCs), and experienced volunteers to start at Los Angeles. BEACH BONFIRE THIS SUNDAY
Join Reading to Kids volunteers for a beach bonfire at Dockweiler Beach on Sunday, August 19th. Friends and Families welcome!
WHEN: Sunday, August 19th, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Dockweiler Beach,12000 Vista del Mar in Playa del Rey.
FOOD: Bring food if you want to eat, and more if you want to share. We will have firewood, water, and s'mores for everyone!
HOW TO FIND US: Information regarding the Reading to Kids meeting location will be posted at the Lifeguard Station 55 landmark. We plan to be at a nearby fire pit. We'll set up at 4:00 p.m. but feel free to show up anytime!
