Weekly News Update
December 13, 2006

Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

This past Saturday, 326 volunteers each gave three hours of their time to read to a whopping 1,301 kids, making the December reading clubs our best attended event in Reading to Kids historyClick here to see who volunteered.

This was a fantastic finish to a year in which you helped us give out 8,845 books to children and their families, 1,375 books to teachers, and 1,335 library-bound books to our five participating Los Angeles schools' libraries!
