With the generous donations of about 140 donors this year, we've reached our financial goal of $15,000 for the 2004 Annual Fund Drive! However, we still need your help to reach our goal of involving 300 donors in the Fund Drive effort this year -- and we need about 160 more donors to reach our goal for 2004! As such, we're extending the Fund Drive deadline to the November 13th Reading Clubs.

Each year, Reading to Kids raises about $110,000 to operate our Reading Clubs. Just about 80% of that amount comes from foundations and corporations.

One of the most important things to these donors is that we have broad-based community support; last year, more than 250 friends and volunteers supported R2K in our Fund Drive. This kind of grassroots support sends a powerful message to potential funders!

25,000 Books and Counting!

The October Reading Clubs were a very special landmark for Reading to Kids -- we gave away our 25,000th prize book!

Reading to Kids' achievements in the last five years are the direct result of one thing: the longstanding support of our volunteers. You have built this community organization from 8 volunteers and 20 kids to a network of community partners and 700 kids participating per month!
