JULY 11TH READING CLUBS SPOTS
Our July 11th "Amazing Animals" reading clubs are 10 days away and are probably still full, though please keep checking our website this week and next week for any recent cancellations!
(If you signed up for the reading clubs but can't join us,
please
cancel your RSVP now so that another volunteer can read with us.)
If all of our reader spots are filled, please keep checking back! People often realize they need to cancel, which opens up new spots.
A note about MacArthur Park and White Elementary:
Those two schools are closed the weekend of July 11th.
For our July 11th reading clubs
we encourage you to volunteer at any of Reading to Kids'
other 5 schools! For a map of all of our school sites,
click here.
Our summer reading clubs are smaller, but check back over the next nine days for any new July 11th openings
and mark your calendars for August 8th. Together we'll keep students reading throughout the summer!

SCHOOL AMBASSADORS WANTED
NEXT THUR. & FRI., 7/9 & 7/10!
Four of our schools have summer programs. Next Thursday, July 9th or Friday, July 10th for an hour or two between 7:30am and 1:00pm, we need your
help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs and/or passing out flyers to encourage kids to come to
our July 11th reading clubs.
It's a lot of fun, so please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org if you can be an ambassador for an hour either of those days!

Our next Legendary Bingo fundraiser at
Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood will be on Wednesday, October 21st. Please help us gather new prizes for auctions and bingo winners that night!
To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.
We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates,
amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and
autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!
If you work at or have a connection with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our events.
You may have gift cards you haven't used which would make excellent prizes if you'd like to donate them to us! E-mail us at info@readingtokids.org to arrange mailing them to us!

THANK YOU MUNGER, TOLLES, & OLSON
We are delighted to thank Munger, Tolles & Olson for their $5,450 grant awarded last week from their MTO Paul Davis Fund! Their support helps us all share our love of literacy with the kids we serve at our partner schools!
