The stage is set for our March 14th "Music & Entertainment" reading clubs this Saturday, and we might need a few more volunteer readers!

The kids are also excited to see the talented musicians joining us at each school - click here or see below for who are performing!

If all of our reader spots are full when you read this, please keep checking back today and tomorrow before 3pm for new spots since we usually have a few cancelations during the 48 hours before a reading club.

(If you have signed up and can't make it after all, please cancel your RSVP online immediately to make room for another volunteer.)

FIVE MORE GLCS NEEDED!

For those experienced volunteers who are open to it, we can add in your RSVP as a GLC (Grade Level Coordinator) for these grades:

- GLC at Esperanza (1st, 3rd, or 4th grade), Gratts (4th), or Politi (3rd)

If the schools are full you might not get to read when you fill any of the above roles, but you still get to participate in creating a magical experience for the kids and volunteers that morning!

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED THIS AFTERNOON
OR TOMORROW!

This afternoon or tomorrow for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs and/or passing out flyers to encourage kids to come to this Saturday's reading clubs.

We are especially looking for volunteers available from about 1:15 - 2:45 today or tomorrow. calendar icon

It's an exciting experience and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to info@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two!

STILL TIME TO HELP OUR
MARATHON & 5K RUNNERS
REACH THEIR FUNDRAISING GOAL!

Last weekend Team Reading to Kids collectively ran 340 miles at the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon and LA 5K! Just imagine how many miles they ran in training!

Head over towards the bottom of their website and scroll down to see an inspiring slideshow of our runners before, during, and after the courses!

Team Reading to Kids has now raised $18,029, and you can still donate to their fundraising pages to help them reach their $20,000 goal to support Reading to Kids!

We also thank our six water station volunteers who helped set up and run Water Station Mile 9 at 5am to hydrate thousands of runners Sunday morning, as well as Charles White Site Coordinators Fiona Gao and Zach Halperin for cheering on our runners at our cheer booth!

Our next Legendary Bingo fundraisers at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood will be on May 20th and in the fall! Please help us gather prizes for auctions and bingo winners that night!

To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.

We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates, amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!
