13TH READING CLUBS
Our big "Family & The Spirit of Giving" reading clubs on December 13th are just three weeks away,
and we need 53 more volunteers.
You can help by joining
our
December 13th reading club event
so your friends will see that on your wall.
Then go to our website and
sign up with us.
Please
tweet, post to Bluesky, Facebook, and Instagram, and
message your friends that we still need more volunteers.
Please also
print out this flyer and post it at your
work, school, church, synagogue, mosque, or favorite
community bulletin board.
Santa will be Appearing at these Reading Clubs:
One More Helper & Backup Santa Wanted!
At least once in your life you should experience being Santa or one of his helpers - and our December 13th reading clubs may be your chance!
We already have our seven Santas, one for each school, but we still need someone willing to be Mrs. Claus or an assisting "elf" or assistant at MacArthur Park Elementary on December 13th. We would also like someone willing to be a "backup" Santa in case one of our seven Santas has to cancel.
There's nothing better than seeing the students' excitement
when Santa visits our reading clubs!

hundreds of smiling faces!
(FYI, the Pasadena Jaycees are providing our Santa suits for that Saturday!

YOU CAN HELP! SITE COORDINATORS &
SITE OPERATIONS HELPERS
NEEDED DEC. 13TH
With only three employees at Reading to Kids, you can see we rely on dedicated Site Coordinators to keep our program running smoothly each month.
We always need experienced volunteers to take on more leadership with us by
checking in volunteers as they arrive, helping train new and returning volunteers, being a GLC, or especially being a Site Operations Helper
at any of our schools.

ANNUAL FUND DRIVE UPDATE
We extend a huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to our 2025 Annual Fund Drive! To date we have raised $26,557 donated from 167 donors!
All who have donated can see their names listed on our
2025 Annual Fund Drive page. Donate and we can add your name there, too!
Our Annual Fund Drive lasts until December 31st, and our ambitious goal this year is to raise $70,000 from 500 donors.
Here's
how you can help!
1) Make a pledge to donate by check or donate online
today by visiting our
2025 Annual Fund Drive. Contributions of any amount are
greatly appreciated!
2) Show your support by asking friends and family to
contribute!

header for resources, including information on creating your own
personalized fundraising page on Facebook, our handy
donor sheet for raising money with your friends and
co-workers,
tips for fundraising, and so much more.
Once they know about Reading to Kids, many of your

we just need you to ask!
Also, if your workplace matches donations to nonprofits, please share
with them your donation, and ask them to consider matching it. In this way you double your donation and share with others your enthusiasm

THANK YOU TO THE RALPH M. PARSONS FOUNDATION
We are delighted to thank The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation for supporting Reading to Kids with a $30,000 grant!
This grant is for two years and is their seventh grant awarded to us since 2002, all to support our shared love of reading and access to books for the children we serve at our seven partner schools.
We are thrilled to continue our partnership with The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation as we strive together towards a positive vision for Los Angeles!

Team Reading to Kids in the 2026 Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 8th!
This is our 12th time running the marathon, and we're looking for four more marathon runners to join us in one of the best marathons in the country.
If that distance is too daunting, you can join us in the LA 5K (that's just 3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium the day before the marathon on Saturday, March 7th.
