We're nine days away from our March 8th "Music & Entertainment" reading clubs, and we might have an open spot or two open up if anyone cancels!!
If all of our reader spots are full, please
keep checking back this week and next week for new spots since often someone realizes they need to cancel.
(If you
have signed up and can't make it after all,
please cancel your RSVP online immediately to make room for another volunteer.)
We're super excited to see the musicians perform live music
for the kids at each of our eight schools!

PLEASE HELP AS A LEAD VOLUNTEER!
With only three employees at Reading to Kids, you can see we rely on dedicated Site Coordinators to keep our program running smoothly each month.
We also need experienced volunteers to
help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, or especially to be an Operations Helper and reader
at any of our schools.
If you have volunteered with us before, e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org to tell us the above role you would like to take on to help create wonderful reading clubs! If your usual school is full, we can probably add you in if you can take on one of the above roles!
READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED NEXT WEEK!
Next Thursday or Friday for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your
help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs and/or passing out flyers to encourage kids to come to
our March 8th reading clubs.
We are especially looking for volunteers available from about 1:15 - 2:45 next Thursday or Friday, Mar. 6th or 7th.
This can be a lot of fun and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to
info@readingtokids.org or call the office at
(310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two next week!

PLEASE SUPPORT THE RUNNING BANANA
AND OUR 2025 MARATHON & 5K RUNNERS!
DONATE OR HAND OUT WATER
DURING THE RACE!
One of our Team Reading to Kids marathon runners, Kimberly Morris, is running the LA Marathon for the 10th time in support of Reading to Kids!
At this year's LA Marathon on Sunday, March 16th Kimberly is doing something especially epic - she'll be attempting to break the record for the fastest marathon run by a woman dressed as a banana!
Please donate your support to both Kimberly the banana and all of Team Reading to Kids as they run the Los Angeles Marathon on March 16th or the LA 5K on March 15th!
They have until March 16th to reach their ambitious $20,000 fundraising goal! If you can donate a buck a mile to your favorite runner, you'll help fuel them towards the finish line!
They have been training for months over hundreds of miles, and so far our runners have raised $3,842 in support of our
monthly reading clubs.
Your donation will make all their months and miles of training pay off in books for the kids we serve!
With every mile they train and every dollar they raise, these valiant souls help you inspire kids with a love of reading.
HAND OUT WATER DURING THE MARATHON!
Help represent Reading to Kids during the Los Angeles Marathon on March 16th by handing out water to the runners!
Our group will be at Water Station Mile 9 at Hollywood Blvd & Hobart Blvd., on Sunday, March 16th from 5am - 11am.
Click this link to sign up! Our group is
Reading to Kids, so just complete the form and sign up to volunteer!
If you can't join us at the above, then donate your support as our runners continue training for hundreds of miles!
