After a rainy few days, we're eager for what is expected to be a dry morning at this Saturday's "Mysteries & New Adventures" reading clubs! We have a few open spots for you to volunteer with us!

If all of our reader spots are full, please keep checking back today and tomorrow before 3pm for new spots since often someone realizes they need to cancel.

(If you have signed up and can't make it after all, please cancel your RSVP online immediately to make room for another volunteer.)

This Saturday is the perfect time for those who have volunteered with us a few times recently to step into and learn any of our important Operations roles - all training very pleasantly provided!

Please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org if you can volunteer for any of the following roles:

- GLC at Alta Loma (4th grade) or Magnolia (4th)
- Training Coordinator at Gratts or MacArthur Park
- Check-in Helper at Magnolia
- Site Operations Helper at any school - your Site Coordinators need your help!

If your school is full and you are an experienced volunteer with us, let us know if you can fill any of the above roles and we'll happily add in your RSVP.

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED THIS AFTERNOON
OR TOMORROW!

This afternoon or tomorrow for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs and/or passing out flyers to encourage kids to come to Saturday's reading clubs.

We are especially looking for volunteers available from about 1:15 - 2:45 today or tomorrow.

This can be a lot of fun and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to info@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two next week!

GOT A NEW COMPUTER OR TABLET?
GIVE YOUR OLD ONE TO A KID THIS SATURDAY!

At this Saturday's reading clubs we would love to give away a computer or iPad/tablet to one lucky kid at each school.

If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 10 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!

We especially need working computers (CPUs), whether or not they come with monitors, keyboards, etc. Please email us at info@readingtokids.org to help make a kid very happy!

ONE MORE MUSICIAN/PERFORMER
WANTED MARCH 8TH

Next month's March 8th reading clubs feature "Music & Celebration", and we are looking for one more musician, dance group, or other entertainer to perform at one of our eight partner schools.

2025 MARATHON RUNNERS
HELP US HAND OUT WATER DURING THE RACE!

Help represent Reading to Kids during the Los Angeles Marathon on March 16th by handing out water to the runners!

Our group will be at Water Station Mile 9 at Hollywood Blvd & Hobart Blvd., on Sunday, March 16th from 5am - 11am.

Our 2025 runners have until March 16th to reach their ambitious $20,000 fundraising goal! If you can donate a buck a mile to your favorite runner, you'll help fuel them towards the finish line!

With every mile they train and every dollar they raise, these valiant souls help you inspire kids with a love of reading.

Reading to Kids' Legendary Bingo fundraiser at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood

Our next Legendary Bingo fundraisers at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood will be on May 21st and in the fall, so we need your help gathering prizes for auctions and bingo winners!

To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.

We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates, amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!

If you work at or have a connection with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our events.
