18 More Volunteers Urgently Needed by 3pm Today for Reading Clubs Tomorrow Morning!
January 13, 2023

Dear [%first_name%],

Last call! We have until 3pm today to find 18 more volunteers to RSVP for tomorrow's reading clubs!

Reading to Kids at Magnolia Elem.

Volunteers for our reading clubs must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and wear a mask while indoors on campus for the reading clubs. The kids will also be required to wear masks while indoors.

NOTE: Sign up only if you can join us on the school campus for which you RSVP. Click here for a map to our partner schools.

We also need help in any of the following roles, so please reply to this email if you can help:

- Training Coordinator at Alta Loma or Gratts
- Check-in Helper at Alta Loma, Los Angeles, or White
- GLC at Alta Loma, Los Angeles (2nd), Magnolia (5th), Politi (3rd), or White
- Site Operations Helper at any school!

Please help by doing any or all of these 5 easy things you can do right now!

  1. If you haven't already, please visit our website now and sign up before 3pm today.

  2. Share and join our January 14th reading club event to let your friends know the fun you'll be up to this Saturday!

  3. Whether or not you can volunteer this Saturday, Tweet @readingtokids, post, and message your friends and followers. Here's a sample post you can use:

"My favorite volunteer organization, Reading to Kids, is looking for more volunteers for their reading clubs tomorrow, Jan. 14th. The theme is "Mysteries & New Adventures", and every participant will wear masks while indoors.

Join me at ### Elementary School for a fun, heartwarming morning of reading to elementary school kids near downtown LA. To join me, sign up online before 3pm today at www.readingtokids.org."

If you write your own post, please be sure to include the following two things:

    - The reading clubs are tomorrow morning, January 14th, near downtown LA
    - Volunteers must sign up online by 3pm today, January 13th, at www.readingtokids.org

If you have people in mind who you think would really like to read with us, tag them in your post. It will alert them to the reading clubs and show up in their friends' news feeds.

  4. Copy from our easy message template at http://www.readingtokids.org/News/SampleVolRecruit.pdf to encourage people you know to sign up to read with us!

  5. Print out this flyer at http://readingtokids.org/ProMaterials/VolunteerTearOffFlyer.pdf and post it somewhere others will see it. Make it a personal and fun social event by including the school at which you'll be reading or encouraging them to read at your favorite of our eight partner schools!
