Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Our February 9th Reading Clubs are fast approaching, and we can't make our morning of "Friendship and Family" memorable without your help!

We have only 21 spots remaining, so if you're planning to volunteer with us on the 9th, please take a moment to join our February 9th Facebook Event. After you join, don't forget to go to our website and sign up with us!

If you're signed up but can't join us, please click here to cancel so that someone else may take your place.

Looking for a new way to get involved with Reading to Kids? Want to add volunteer office help to your resume? We currently are looking for a few good volunteers to help us in the office on weekdays on a regular basis.

There are tons of things that need to be done in the office for every reading club, as well as general office work and help organizing the prizes that soon will be pouring in. If you're interested, please reply to this email.

We are still on the hunt for musicians to perform at our March 9th Reading Clubs. Every March, musicians visit each school and perform for the kids as part of our "Music and Celebrations" theme.

We have had a variety of performers from country singers to Korean drumming troupes! If you or someone you know would like to share the gift of music with the kids and volunteers, please reply to this email.

We're starting to plan this year's events, and we need your help gathering prizes!

Our events are more fun and raise more money if we have great prizes to award, raffle, and/or auction. Big prizes. Little prizes. Serious prizes. Silly prizes. We need them all! Check out our list of prizes from last year's Silent Auction for ideas.

If you have any prizes, or you know where to get them, let us know!

The fun starts this May with our annual Legendary Bingo night, and we'd love to have something fabulous for the grand prize winner -- anything unique or with an autograph is always welcome!

To help you get started, click these links for tips on how to best approach a business or person to donate to our events, and a donation form for the donor to complete.

In the past we have had gift certificates, products, services, and tickets to fun events. If you work at or have a connection with a restaurant, retail store, or for a company with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our events.

Please also let Skylar know to whom you reach out so we don't accidentally duplicate Special Events Committee efforts in contacting businesses.

We need a well-known, headliner comedian for this summer's upcoming Benefit Comedy Night! If you personally know a headliner comedian who would be interested and available for this event that will likely take place in late May or June, please reply to this email.

We'd also like to have a celebrity host for either our Comedy Night or as a bingo caller for our annual Legendary Bingo night in May. Please reply if you can personally reach out to any celebrities who would like to help your favorite good cause!

Thank you very much!
