CROSSWORDS LA NEEDS YOU!

If you like doing crossword puzzles, you'll love helping out at the Crosswords LA Tournament, Sunday, May 1st, at Loyola Marymount. The tournament relies on our volunteer puzzle collectors and puzzle scorers. Click here to see the volunteer shift schedule. Reply to this e-mail if you'd like to volunteer.

READING TO KIDS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
SATURDAY, MAY 21st

The Reading to Kids Charity Golf Tournament will be a fun day of golf and networking. It's a scramble tournament, making it easy to play for any level of golfer. Sign up as a team, or register as an individual, and we'll partner you up!

Not a golfer? Join us for the 19th Hole post tournament reception for dinner, raffle, and comedy.

Saturday, May 21st

12:30 p.m. - Shotgun start
5:30 p.m. - 19th Hole post-tournament reception and dinner

Cost
$190 for tournament (includes greens fees, cart, drinks on the course, and dinner).

$35 for 19th Hole reception/dinner only.

FESTIVAL OF BOOKS
APRIL 30th & MAY 1st

Reading to Kids will be joining thousands of community members, hundreds of organizations, and scores of authors at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

Volunteers at our booth help recruit new volunteers and answer questions about Reading to Kids!  If you'd like to be part of the action, there are a few spots left.  Click here to see available shifts.

The Festival of Books is America's largest book festival and this year it takes place on the USC campus. The event is free and open to the public on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, May 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reading to Kids will be at Booth 218.
