 Classroom helpers needed!

Can't get enough of the kids?  Want to see what a day in the classroom is like?  Now is your chance to visit one of our schools as a "teacher's aide for the day!"  Reading to Kids has offered the teacher at each school who recruits the most students to our reading clubs a helper for a day to encourage reading club attendance. Among other things, classroom helpers have the chance to read stories, grade papers, prep assignments, and experience what it's like to be a teacher.

If you are interested in helping out for a day in one of the classrooms, please e-mail Sarah.Kolterman@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455. Dates and times are flexible according to your availability.

 Intern with Reading to Kids!

Reading to Kids has spring (and summer) internship opportunities!  We are looking for college students to intern at our West Los Angeles office.

Learn the ins and outs of running a small non-profit and enjoy a relaxed and fun work environment by interning with us!  Interns support reading club and office operations in addition to taking on individual, long-term projects.  Projects include but are not limited to: grant-writing, volunteer recruitment and coordination, event coordination, promotional material design, community and school relations, classroom help, and reading club operations.  Projects are given based on an intern's skills and interests.

If you are interested in a career in the non-profit field, are looking for a great hands-on internship experience, or just want to help out, this is the internship for you!

Click here for more information, and e-mail Jessica.Tritsch@readingtokids.org to apply.
