It's hard to believe January's coming to a close and February is just around the corner! The February 12th Reading Clubs should be a blast: we've got a great selection of books for you to read to the kids next month (see below for book info).
This month we're really hoping to get sign-ups aplenty for Gratts and Noble Elementaries, since we're partnering with Beyond the Bell to put on a bigger-than-usual Reading Club with about 300 kids at each school. Help out in a big way by volunteering!

February Books!
Some months, the book selection is just too good to be true. February's "Friendship"-themed stories are really an excellent bunch.
Perennial favorite Sarah, Plain and Tall will be our 5th grade selection. Many of us read this book in elementary school -- come read it to our enthusiastic participants!
Lois Lowry's incredible story, Number the Stars is our 4th grade book in February. It chronicles the story of two Danish girls during the German occupation of Denmark in the second World War.
And, new favorite Toot and Puddle tells the story of two little pigs who are different as can be -- but are best friends just the same! Our 2nd graders are sure to love it!
There are some great stories in February! For a complete listing of the February books, please click here!

Festival of Books in April
On April 23rd and 24th, Reading to Kids will participate in America's largest literary event -- the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. This is our first year having a booth at the fair!
We'll be sending information your way later in the spring as details are available, but we're sending out the "save the date" now. We would love to have volunteers at our booth helping out. You'll have a chance to sign up to participate in the next few weeks!
Enjoy the week!
Best,
