While details are soon to come about the January 8th Reading Clubs, I wanted to make sure you all could plan on coming to this weekend's social activity!
Come join Reading to Kids as we carve up the Pershing Square Ice Rink downtown!
Location: 5th, 6th, Hill, and Olive Streets, Los Angeles, CA 90013
Neighborhood: Downtown L.A.
When: Sunday 1/16, 2pm-4pm
Cost: Skating $6/hour per person; Skate rental $2
Web address: http://www.laparks.org
Getting there: From the 110 South, exit at 6th Street/4th Street. Make a slight left onto West 4th Street, then right onto Olive Street. Accessible from the Red Line, Pershing Square is also a short walk from the Central Library, perfect for a tranquil retreat from city noise.
Entrances are located on 5th, 6th, and Olive Streets.
$6 daily flat rate for weekends
Good things to bring: Warm clothing, well padded pants, cameras, snacks, & water. Friends and family are always welcome.
In the event of rain, the activity will be cancelled. Only the super cool and hardcore will go (according to the committee chairs!). Please look for Social Committee Co-Chair Jeff Carter, who will be wearing a large sombrero. If you have any questions please contact Jeff at (310) 497-1796 or at email@example.com.
(Oh, and please sign up for the February 12th Reading Clubs by clicking here to RSVP!)
