We'll be hiking again this Saturday morning at Monrovia Canyon Park, at 9:30 a.m.

Located in the foothills above Monrovia at the confluence of Monrovia and Sawpit Canyons, MCP provides visitors the experience of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountain wilderness, along with the Monrovia Canyon Falls (diminished due to the drought, but still a'flowing!).

This is an easygoing, shady hike with a low to moderate incline. It's about 3.5 miles out and back, and hikers of all ages are encouraged to join!

Parking in the lots near the trailhead is $6. Visitors can also find parking on N Canyon Blvd. or Ridgeside Dr.

The Reading to Kids group will be gathering at the entrance station (in the lower lot) between 9 and 9:30 a.m., before heading out on the trail. We expect to return to the lot around 11 a.m.
