Discussion topics for before reading:
•  This book is a fun, fantasy book to read.
•  Genre-Fantasy, comedy, humor
•  It has no direct message or theme. We can pay attention to the contrast between fantasy (dragons) and reality (tacos)

Vocabulary:

•  Gigantic-very large
•  Sizzle- hissing sound of food cooking
•  Speck-very little bit

•  What rule is the author telling us to follow about giving dragons tacos?
(NO HOT SAUCE)
•  The author says Dragons HATE HOT SAUCE because it makes fire come out of their mouth and upsets their stomachs.
•  Who likes salsa on their tacos?

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
