Synopsis: This is a collection of twelve scary stories by Newbery Award-winning authors.

Discussion topics: To be posted soon ...

Craft ideas:
•  Make paper cut-outs for windows: black cat, ghost, jack-o-lantern.
•  Make scary or funny masks and tell your own scary stories.
•  Pick one story, read only 1/2 way through and have the kids complete the ending.

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
