Synopsis: Olivia remembers her trip to the circus very well. The performers were out sick, so she had to do everything. She rode on a unicycle, jumped on a trampoline, juggled five balls, tamed lions, and flew through the air. Step into the ring with Olivia, where the lights are dim, the color soft, and a little girl's imagination is the main attraction.

Craft ideas:
•  Make a circus tent by taping a long thin stip of paper into a circle and then taping a cone of paper on top. Decorate with the adventures of Olivia, or with your adventures with Olivia.
•  Draw what you did or will do this summer (or maybe what you wish that you did!)
•  Make pig ears and a snout (accessorize!), and act out the story.

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
