Synopsis: A diverse class of excited youngsters are about to start school and experience all its wonders! Small moments like discovering one's own cubby space and big moments like a first nature walk are all brought to life with inviting artwork. This is a great book to help familiarize children with all the activities they can expect at school, from circle time to snack time to goodbye time, all the while sharing the experiences with lots of great new friends.

•  Who are your friends in school?

•  Welcome - to greet the arrival of a person or people
•  Teacher - a person who teaches or instructs
•  Circle - round
•  Listen - to hear
•  Nature - mountains, trees, etc.; of the natural world
•  Fall - the season that comes after Summer and before Winter

•  What do you like the most about school?
•  What new things have you learned in school?
•  What different things have you made in school?

Craft ideas:
•  Make a paper crown and decorate it
•  Draw art, a pumpkin and leaves for Fall
•  Make a Grandparents’ Day card (Sunday, September 12, made a federal holiday in 1978 by President Carter to acknowledge the close bond between grandparents and their grandchildren)
