Synopsis: Mr. Lincoln is the coolest principal ever! He knows how to do everything, from jumping rope to leading nature walks. Everyone loves him . . . except for Eugene Esterhause.

Discussion topics for during/after reading:
•  What are the different races? What are the preconceived notions about them? How are those notions wrong?
•  What have your favorite teachers taught you?
•  How do you handle troublemakers at school? What are some helpful ways to deal with them?

Craft ideas:
•  Build a bird house. (bring ahead option: milk cartons)
•  Make a bookcover for the book, with your favorite picture from the book on the front and a description of the book on the back. Include your own review.

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
