Synopsis: Valerio the dragon and Allegra the unicorn watch with sadness as King Orlando and his men invade their sacred forest and cut down 600-year-old trees to build a fortress. It's to Orlando's compassionate young daughter, Princess Arianna, that Allegra and Valerio turn with their warning about the danger that comes from forest destruction

Discussion topics: To be posted soon ...

Craft ideas:
•  Make a crown like Arianna's or the king's, and decorate it with flowers, raindrops, and other "jewels ot nature."
•  Make a unicorn horn or dragon wings, and decorate it with nature items from the book.

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
