Synopsis: Scribble, the book's main character, never thought he was different until he met his first drawing. Then, After being left out because he didn't look like everyone else. Scribble teaches the drawings how to accept each other for who they are. Which enables them to create amazing art.

This book not only has illustrations that any child can personally recognize but it also addresses inclusion without boundaries so that anyone can relate to it.

Discussion topics for before reading:
•  Do you like to color? Do you scribble?
•  What is your favorite item to color or scribble?
•  Do use a coloring book? Or on construction paper?

Vocabulary:

•  Curious - eager to know or learn something
•  Nice - pleasant; agreeable; satisfactory
•  House- a building for human habitation, especially one that is lived in by a family or small group of people
•  Scribble- write or draw (something) carelessly or hurriedly.
•  Free- able to act or be done as one wishes.

•  1) Easy: Create your own Scribble character? Is your character blue or red? Tall or small? Does your Scribble character wear sunglasses or a glittery bow? Show your classmate your Scribble character during your class show and tell session today!
Materials needed: Construction paper, slim markers, crayons, glue, old magazines, stencil and scissors.
•  2) Easy: Spring is just a few weeks away. It’s a wonderful time- flowers are blooming, sunny weather and birds are chirping. Using your craft supplies create a Welcome Spring greeting card for one of your family member or friend.
Materials needed: Construction paper, slim markers, crayons
•  St. Patrick’s Day Is March 17th and Easter Sunday is April 9th. Make a greeting card for someone. (Remember: Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day)

Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
