Synopsis:
Join Super Narwhal and sidekick Jelly Jolt as they take on three SUPER new stories in this early graphic novel series.
Happy-go-lucky Narwhal and no-nonsense Jelly find their inner superheroes in three new under-the-sea adventures. In the first story, Narwhal's superhero alter-ego is revealed, and Narwhal enlists Jelly to help figure out what their superpower is. Next, Narwhal helps a friend find his way back home. In the third story, Jelly is feeling blue and Narwhal comes to the rescue.

1) Easy: I am a superhero! Draw a picture of yourself as the ultimate superhero in action. Do you have a cape? A shield? Or Sword? What is superpower? Show your classmates what you would look like as superhero. Don’t
forget your superhero name?
Materials needed: Construction paper, slim markers, crayons, stencil, and scissors.

2) Easy: Crabs, sea turtles, sharks, lobsters and whales are just a few of the few animals living and thriving in the sea. What are your favorite sea creatures? Create a mural of your favorite sea creatures of the great wide
deep blue ocean.
Materials needed: Construction paper, slim markers, crayons

3) Moderate: Octopuses are one of the most intelligent creatures in the ocean and they look kind of awesome – so why not make an octopus paper plate craft! Start by coloring the paper plate. While the color dries, we’ll be making tentacles and eyes! Fold the orange sheet of paper to half – fold that half to half again (I think the
technical term for this is double fold). Now draw two tentacles on the paper and cut them – this giving you 8
tentacles!
Materials needed: paper plate (plain white one or per-colored one) orange color, orange sheet of paper (or
plain white paper and have the kids color it) white paper, scissors, glue, pen, black marker

Remember, though, that the focus of your time should
not be on the development and execution of a craft;
the focus should be on the read-aloud and the
enjoyment of the book!
