Synopsis: One morning, Sam does not want to go to school, and grooms his stuffed monkey Timbo to be his replacement. However, as he prepares his toy for his day by describing circle time, playing outside, and eating snacks, he reconsiders.

Discussion topics: To be posted soon ...

Craft ideas:
•  Make a Timbo puppet/ doll to take to school with you (if volunteers want to plan ahead, bring paper bags for this).
•  Cut out a monkey face, and write the story from Timbo's point of view on the back.

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
