In the center of a piece of paper, have the children write "unless..." as in the book. Unless what? Discuss cause and effect--unless they do what, what will happen to the environment? They can draw out the answers, or write them around the word.

Create simple costumes, and act out the book, or take turns acting it out.

For the adventurous, bring seeds to plant in dixie cups.
