Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Our February 8th "Mysteries & New Adventures" reading clubs are in just nine days, and we still need another 22 volunteers for them!
If you know you are available that morning, please go to our website and
sign up with us! If your regular school is full, this is a great month to sign up for a new school to you!
Help spread the word about reading with us by joining our
February 8th reading club event
so your friends will see that on your wall.
Please also
tweet, post to Bluesky, Facebook, and Instagram, and
message your friends that we still need more volunteers.
You can even
print out this flyer and post it at your
work, school, church, synagogue, mosque, or favorite
community bulletin board.
LEAD VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
With only three employees at Reading to Kids, you can see we rely on dedicated Site Coordinators to keep our program running smoothly each month.
We also need experienced volunteers to
help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, or especially to be an Operations Helper and reader
at any of our schools.
If you have volunteered with us before, e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org to tell us the above role you would like to take on to help create wonderful reading clubs!

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED NEXT WEEK!
Next Thursday or Friday for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your
help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs to encourage kids to come to
our February 8th reading clubs.
We are especially looking for volunteers who can pass out flyers to parents when school lets out at around 2:15pm next Friday, Feb. 7th.
This can be a lot of fun and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to

(310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two next week!

4 MORE COMPUTERS OR TABLETS WANTED
TO GIVE TO KIDS FEB. 8TH!!
At our February reading clubs we would love to give away a computer or iPad/tablet to one lucky kid at each school.
If you or your employer have any working computers that are less than 6 years old running Windows 10 or later, or any Macintosh computers less than 7 years old, or any iPads or similar tablets, we can give them to deserving kids!

THREE MORE MUSICIANS & PERFORMERS
WANTED MARCH 8TH
Our March 8th reading clubs feature "Music & Celebration", and we are looking for four more musicians, dancers, or other entertainers to perform at each of our eight partner schools.
In the past we've had everything from Korean drum troupes, electric violin players, mariachi dancers, and marching bands!

Team Reading to Kids in the LA Big 5K (3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium on Saturday, March 15th!
This is our 11th time running the Los Angeles Marathon, and all our marathon and Charity Half Marathon spots are filled - but we are looking for more 5K runners to join our team!

Our group will be at Water Station Mile 9 at Hollywood Blvd & Hobart Blvd., on Sunday, March 17th from 5am - 11am.

Our next Legendary Bingo fundraisers at
Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood will be on May 21st and in the fall, so we need your help gathering prizes for auctions and bingo winners!
To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.
We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates,
amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and
autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!
