Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
25 years ago this Saturday Reading to Kids began at Gratts Elementary with just eight volunteers, a visionary principal, and wonderful teachers!

In the photo above are the folk you and thousands of kids have to thank for so many wonderful Saturday mornings!
We're just two days away from our May 11th "Fantasy, Folklore, & Fairytales" reading clubs, and we need eight more volunteer readers this Saturday!
If we are full when you check our website, please
keep checking back today and tomorrow until 3pm for new spots in case someone cancels.

NEEDED THIS SATURDAY
Have you volunteered with us a few times recently? Then Then this Saturday would be a great time to step into any of our vital Operations roles - all training very pleasantly provided!
Please e-mail us at
info@readingtokids.org if you can volunteer for any of the following roles this Saturday:
- GLC at Alta Loma (2nd or 4th) or Gratts (2nd)
- Training Coordinator at Gratts
- Check-in Helper at Alta Loma, Magnolia, or White
- Bagel Runner (picking up from a shop in Santa Monica this afternoon or tomorrow at 2:20pm)

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED TOMORROW!
Tomorrow for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your
help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs to encourage kids to come to
our May 11th reading clubs.
We are especially looking for volunteers who can pass out flyers to parents when school lets out at around 2:15pm tomorrow.
This can be a lot of fun and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to

(310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two!
