FOR MAY 11TH READING CLUBS!

We urgently need 58 more readers to join us for our May 11th reading clubs.

Here is how you can help us meet our commitment to the kids!

1. If you haven't already, please visit our website now and sign up.
   
   
2. Share and join our May 11th Facebook event to let your friends know the fun you'll be up to that Saturday!
   
   
3. Whether or not you can volunteer that Saturday, Tweet @readingtokids, post, and message your friends and followers. Here's a sample post you can use:
   
   
"My favorite volunteer organization, Reading to Kids, is looking for more volunteers for their reading clubs on Saturday, May 11th. The theme is "Fantasy, Folklore, & Fairytales".

Join me at ### Elementary School for a fun, heartwarming morning of reading to elementary school kids near downtown LA. To join me, sign up online today at www.readingtokids.org."

If you write your own post, please be sure to include the following two things:

- The reading clubs are Saturday morning, May 11th, near downtown LA
- Volunteers must sign up online by 3pm Friday, May 10th, at www.readingtokids.org

If you have people in mind who you think would really like to read with us, tag them in your post. It will alert them to the reading clubs and show up in their friends' news feeds.


4. Copy from our easy message template at http://www.readingtokids.org/News/SampleVolRecruit.pdf to encourage people you know to sign up to read with us!
   
   
5. Print out this flyer at http://readingtokids.org/ProMaterials/VolunteerTearOffFlyer.pdf and post it somewhere others will see it. Make it a personal and fun social event by including the school at which you'll be reading or encouraging them to read at your favorite of our eight partner schools!

18 MORE OPERATIONS VOLUNTEERS
ALSO NEEDED MAY 11TH

Have you volunteered with us a few times recently? Then May 11th would be a great time to step into any of our vital Operations roles - all training very pleasantly provided!

Please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org if you can volunteer for any of the following roles on May 11th:

- GLC at Alta Loma (2nd or 4th), Esperanza (3rd or 4th), or Gratts (K or 2nd)
- Training Coordinator at Esperanza, Gratts, MacArthur Park, or Politi
- Check-in Helper at any school
- Bagel Runner (picking up from a shop in Santa Monica this Thursday or Friday at 2:20pm)
- Site Operations Helper at 8am at any school (your Site Coordinators need your help!)
