February 10th "People & Places Around the World" reading clubs are proving to be very popular, but we may still have a few open spots for them!

At the moment all of our reader spots are full this morning, but please keep checking back over the next week for new spots in case someone had to cancel.

LEAD VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

With only three employees at Reading to Kids, you can see we rely on dedicated Site Coordinators to keep our program running smoothly each month.

We also need experienced volunteers to help train new and returning volunteers, be a GLC, or especially to be an Operations Helper and reader at any of our schools.

If you have volunteered with us before, e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org to tell us the above role you would like to take on to help create wonderful reading clubs!

READING TO KIDS AMBASSADORS
WANTED NEXT WEEK!

Next Thursday or Friday for an hour or two between 7:30am and 2:30pm, we need your help conducting quick classroom walk-throughs to encourage kids to come to our February 10th reading clubs.

We are especially looking for volunteers who can pass out flyers to parents when school lets out at around 2:15pm next Friday, Feb. 9th.

This can be a lot of fun and we'll provide everything you need. Please reply to info@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455 if you can be an Ambassador for an hour or two next week!

MUSICIANS/PERFORMERS
WANTED MARCH 9TH

Our March 9th reading clubs feature "Music & Entertainment", and we are looking for two more musicians, dancers, etc. to perform at each of our eight partner schools. In the past we've had everything from Korean drum troupes to electric violin players to mariachis to marching bands!

Reading to Kids' Legendary Bingo fundraiser at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood

Our next fundraising events will be on May 11th and in the fall, so we need your help gathering prizes for silent auctions and bingo winners!

To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.

We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates, amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!

If you work at or have a connection with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our events.

HELP US HAND OUT WATER DURING THE RACE!

Help represent Reading to Kids during the Los Angeles Marathon on March 17th by handing out water to the runners!

Our group will be at Water Station Mile 9 at Hollywood Blvd & Hobart Blvd., on Sunday, March 17th from 5am - 11am.
