We're just two days away from our January 13th "Mysteries & New Adventures" reading clubs, and we need a few more volunteer readers this Saturday!

This Saturday is the perfect time for those who have volunteered with us a few times recently to step into and learn any of our important Operations roles - all training very pleasantly provided!

- GLC at Alta Loma (4th), Gratts (2nd), Los Angeles (3rd), or MacArthur Park (5th)
- Check-in Helper at Los Angeles, MacArthur Park, or Magnolia
- Bagel Runner (picking up from a shop in Santa Monica this afternoon at 2:20pm)
- Site Operations Helper at any school - your Site Coordinators need your help!
If your school is full and you are an experienced volunteer with us, let us know if you can fill any of the above roles and we'll happily add in your RSVP.

25TH ANNIVERSARY
PARTY PLANNERS WANTED
Our Special Events Committee is in the early planning stages of creating our 25th Anniversary party next year on May 11th!

Our next fundraising events will be on May 11th and in the fall, so we need your help gathering prizes for silent auctions and bingo winners!
To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.
We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates,
amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and
autographed items! Anything unique is great, too!
If you work at or have a connection with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our events.

Team Reading to Kids in the 2024 Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 17th!
This is our 10th time running the marathon, and we're looking for at least one more marathon runner and two Charity Challenge runners (the last 13.1 miles of the course) to join us in one of the best marathons in the country.
If either of those distances is too daunting, you can join us in the LA Big 5K (that's just 3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium the day before the marathon on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
You can
share this Facebook group with any of your runner
friends to encourage them to join our team!
