Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Do you remember how you spent any of your first days of summer when you were in elementary school?
Even though last Saturday was the first day of their summer break, 221 kids, 153 volunteers,
44 parents, and 25 teachers & staff
joined us for our June 10th reading clubs!
Volunteers at Esperanza - click the above image to see it full-sized!
We also gave away our 35,000th hardcover, read-aloud book to our schools' libraries! Keep checking our
Facebook page,
Twitter, and
Instagram for more photos of our volunteers celebrating this milestone!
Because we never read aloud the same book twice, since we began in May 1999 we have read aloud and then donated
1,734 different titles that continue to have an impact at each of our partner schools!
