June 15, 2023

Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Do you remember how you spent any of your first days of summer when you were in elementary school?

Even though last Saturday was the first day of their summer break, 221 kids, 153 volunteers, 44 parents, and 25 teachers & staff joined us for our June 10th reading clubs!

We also gave away our 35,000th hardcover, read-aloud book to our schools' libraries! Keep checking our Facebook page, Twitter, and Instagram for more photos of our volunteers celebrating this milestone!

Because we never read aloud the same book twice, since we began in May 1999 we have read aloud and then donated 1,734 different titles that continue to have an impact at each of our partner schools!

PLEASE STEP UP TO A
BIGGER VOLUNTEER ROLE

Site Coordinators at Charles White Elementary

We urgently need experienced volunteers to take on more leadership with us by helping train new and returning volunteers, being a GLC, or especially being a Site Operations Helper at any of our schools.

If you have volunteered with us a few times and can help in any of those roles, please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org to help create wonderful reading clubs!

Or, if you want to help in other ways (Curriculum, Marketing, etc.), and have volunteered with us three or more times, consider joining our Taskforce.
