Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

THANK YOU DWIGHT STUART YOUTH FUND

Dwight Stuart Youth Fund logo

Last week we mentioned we recently received $35,000 in grants, and today we can share with you that $15,000 of that came to us from the Dwight Stuart Youth Fund!

Their support of our monthly reading clubs, whether via Zoom or in-person again (once it is safe to do so), helps all of us share your enthusiasm for reading. Together we are enriching the lives of thousands of young readers throughout Los Angeles!

AUGUST 14TH READING CLUBS RSVPS
TO OPEN AUGUST 5TH

The teachers and staff at our partner schools are still enjoying their well-earned summer break, so we continue to recruit more of them to host on Zoom next month's virtual summer reading clubs on August 14th.

On Thursday, August 5th, at about 11am we will email you how you can submit your RSVP for those "Arts & Creativity" reading clubs!

Our summer reading clubs are smaller, so mark your calendars for August 14th. Help us keep students reading throughout the summer!

OPERATIONS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Volunteers checking in with their Site Coordinators on Zoom

For our virtual reading clubs we need experienced volunteers to help train volunteers to use Zoom or be a second or third virtual Site Coordinator in our Zoom reading clubs for any of our schools.

Being a Site Coordinator guarantees you a (non-reading) spot at our next reading clubs, so please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org if you can help us create wonderful reading clubs!
