Virtual reading clubs count towards our milestones just as much as our face-to-face reading clubs!
We honored these 11 volunteers by sharing their milestone certificates during Saturday's Zoom reading clubs!
• Itzel Perez, Luke Guerin, & Jisun Moon (10 reading clubs each)
• Our Program Coordinator Talethe Collins (20 reading clubs)
• Nicole Jabanoski & Site Coordinator Sonia Stevenson (30 reading clubs each)
Pictured below are the certificates for our five largest
milestones this month:
• Claire Manneh & Courtney Young (50 reading clubs each)
• Patrick White (100 reading clubs)
• Jami Olson (110 reading clubs)
• Cathy Ostiller (140 reading clubs)
By joining us for his 100th reading club, Patrick also received in the mail his 100th reading club magnetic name badge!

JULY 10TH READING CLUBS RSVPS
TO OPEN JULY 1ST
We are eager for next month's virtual summer reading clubs on July 10th, but first need to recruit enough teachers to be Zoom hosts for them.
On Thursday, July 1st, at about 11am we will email you how you can submit your RSVP for those "Wonders of Science & Technology" reading clubs!
Our summer reading clubs are also smaller, so mark your calendars for both July 10th and August 14th. Help us keep students reading throughout the summer!
OPERATIONS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
For our virtual reading clubs we need experienced volunteers to
help train volunteers to use Zoom or be a second or third virtual Site Coordinator
in our Zoom reading clubs for any of our schools.
Being a Site Coordinator guarantees you a (non-reading) spot at our next reading clubs, so please e-mail us at
info@readingtokids.org if you can help us create wonderful reading clubs!

THANK YOU, SUPER BOWL LVI LEGACY PROGRAM!
Last week we couldn't reveal our newest funder, but we can now share with you and publicly thank the Super Bowl LVI Legacy Program – Champions Live Here for their $10,000 donation!
We are one of the 56 local-non-profit organizations recognized for making a transformative impact in underserved communities across the Los Angeles region. Click this link to read more about the program and all 56 organizations honored.
Why 56? Because Super Bowl 56 will be held in Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium on February 13, 2022! Click the below images to see them much larger - you may even recognize a face or two!
Finally, our special thanks to volunteer Stephanie Cheng for both nominating us for this program and writing such a wonderful nomination!

Happy June, and after enough teachers are confirmed, we hope you can join us at our next reading clubs
(always the second Saturday of each month) on July 10th.
